small ironing board, good selection of biscuits, convenient car parking
The smallest window imaginable left the room feeling claustrophobic!!! The sloped beds made for an uncomfortable night's sleep, paired with noise levels that could keep anyone awake. A little upgrade in soundproofing might go a long way!!!

Couple seeking a cozy retreat
Had a lovely steak dinner that was simply the best I’ve had for a long time and the barman was not just friendly but efficient too helped us settle in right away
It wasn’t exactly budget-friendly but we found it acceptable for what we got

The meal I had was lovely, well presented, hot and very tasty, honestly, some of the best pub food I've had in a while. The staff were friendly and efficient It’s the kind of place that serves generous portions, home-cooked and made with care, not that factory stuff you see everywhere.
It wasn't exactly low-cost but still reasonable for the quality offered.

The breakfast had top-notch bacon and sausages, definitely a win for anyone craving a hearty start. The lively pub vibe around the dining area made for an enjoyable atmosphere, perfect for those wanting local flavors.
The walls are pretty thin. I could hear the neighboring room's snoring, which didn't help my work trip since sleep was a priority. There was a strange, lingering damp smell in the room that never cleared out and made things a bit uncomfortable.

This was an excellent fit for a stopover in Southampton with great value for money. The staff were welcoming, and I enjoyed the breakfast options, especially the fry-up. For a better experience, ask for a room away from the beer garden.

The full English breakfast at Prince Consort was a proper treat with top-notch bacon and sausages. Plus, the pub's lively vibe makes it a must-visit for foodies looking for local options.
I would have loved a little stool for sitting after getting dressed instead of plonking on the bed.

Comfortable stay with great breakfast
I stayed in a small double room for 2 nights, and it was very comfortable with clean facilities. The breakfast included excellent quality local ingredients, particularly the bacon and sausages that were delicious. The location was also handy for walks in the nearby village and coastline. My only suggestion would be to improve the check-in process as it felt a bit rushed at times.
